Up to see my mum.
I spotted a copy of the BP on her table.
I joined the BP in the early 80s when it was part of a government funded community employment scheme and I was doing a part time City and Guilds photography course ( I don’t think the logo design has been changed since!).
It was all proper cut and past and electronic typewriters back then.
Shiela - my gf - and I were the roving reporters. Great fun. We talked to a lot of old people.
We did try to interview Peter O’Toole when we found out he was staying at a local hotel. His people declined...
