A Pheasant Afternoon

The weather was again dire this morning but brightened up this afternoon so I took a drive in the countryside to enjoy some respite.

I saw this pheasant in a hedgerow as I approached the upmarket village of Shirenewton, near Chepstow, Monmouthshire, UK and it was amusing watching it trying to decide which way he was going to go to avoid me. Some nice vivid colours during the break in the weather.
