looking over the pond

Dull day today - was hoping that the sun would show itself and dry the washing I had put out early this morning.  It did for a very short time and now it is a dull day.  Had a walk around the lane and ended up looking over the pond.  Trees are changing colour and the paths are sodden so my shoes ended up quite muddy.
