Birthday Weekend at Blakeney

A birthday weekend trip to Blakeney.  Apart from one brief tip back in 1983 it is 50 years since I was here.  Quite a few changes - particularly the rising tides!

We arrived when the water was pretty low and you could hardly see the boats in the channels, and the taxi (blip 2) was high and dry!.  As the evening drew in the water steadily rose (blip 3).

The gulls are far gentler and less intrusive here than on the south coast - maybe because they are engaging with so many other breeds of birds on the salt and freshwater wetlands.

A lovely first evening and a very good dinner!
