Neustadt from the Ferris Wheel

Took the train to Neustadt an der Weinstraße to meet my old colleague.

I'm very proud of myself for taking a ride on the Ferris wheel - before the wine and onion cake!
The hills in the back are the Weinbiet. The building in the front is the Saalbau, where every year the election and the coronation of the Palatinate and most years the German Wine Queen takes place (last week!).

Neustadt is such a beautiful city. And, of course, home of the Elwetritsch. And it has the famous Elwetritsche-Fountain, which has been blipped before.
