The Journey Home

Left work later than I had hoped. Got to station. Bought supplies from M&S for dinner. Suddenly had panic I didn't have my phone. Checked bag while supplies falling on to floor. Confirmed didn't have phone. Went back to office to get phone. Phone not where it should be. Boss calls phone. Hear it vibrating. Check pedastal - not there. Both Boss and I check floor - not there. Pull everything out bag to check it wasn't there all along - still not there. Boss pulls out keyboard. Phone there! Boss looks at me with contents of my bag everywhere like I'm a total nutter. Gather myself together and head off for mad dash back to station. Bump into old boss who starts to chat. Can't just blank him so have polite chat. Finally get back to station. Have missed train. Twenty mins later am on next train. Can't wait to get home!
