- but very tasty.

I made a large pot of chicken casserole tonight. I always start with onions, usually garlic and tonight it was red and yellow peppers, courgettes and chestnut mushrooms with salt, pepper and turmeric.

I sealed the chicken in batches in a separate pan then left the pot to bubble for a while.

Mum has mash and I had rice.

I was at home this morning, then we had our wash up meeting this afternoon. We shred that this was a challenging festival in terms of organisation, because of the very wet weather beforehand. Leaders had to tweak routes, or even change them completely. Our loyal punters did not seem to mind and bonded together with great spirit as they dripped around some walks!!

I have given in my resignation and intend to serve until Christmas. We need more people on the committee and recruitment seems more urgent now. It’s time for me to move on and for new people with new ideas to take on the mantle. it was a hard decision to make.
