Edging

I made this body pillowcase from a length of cotton print fabric a friend gave me when she was clearing out some of her vintage fabric from her sewing room.

The thread crochet edging is of uncertain age, but judging by it's companions in the box of sewing odds and ends my nonagenarian grandmother sent me a couple years ago, it may be from the early 70's. I had about a dozen already completed pillowcase edgings to choose from in my collection, yet I'm feeling very lucky with this one because it was exactly the right circumference, and doesn't clash with the print. I hand sewed it on using the method I observed in others.

I'm ridiculously pleased with the result.
