We decided to have a relaxing day today, so headed off to the Quakers Tapestry Museum at Kendal this morning.   It was such a stunning exhibition that we spent four hours there and had a delicious lunch in the wholefood tea room situated there.    
It was sunny when we emerged late afternoon so we took a leisurely drive back through Ambleside, stopping off at Clappersgate Bridge for the autumn colours.   We were disappointed to find that most of the Beech leaves had already fallen, but it was still a beautiful area to visit.
