Christmas

Last Christmas my daughter gave me a wonderful present of a one day workshop making silver jewellery (with her of course!) and today was the fulfilling of that present. We headed off super early and spent a whole day learning how to make two pieces of jewellery each..it was such fun!!!  These are the pair of earings that l made before they were polished and l also made a pendant to match but l didn't remember to photograph it before the light died so will have to blip that another day.  It has made us both appreciate the amount of work that goes into a small piece of handmade silver jewellery.  We hammered, sawed,filed, pierced and shaped, used a mandrel, a blowtorch, flux and solder and plenty of different hammers some metal ended some hide. An amazing day and very productive.  We are both thrilled with our new jewellery and will always remember the fun we had together making it.
