StarGazing LIVE

I have been waiting for tonight for ages.....clear with plenty of time....no clouds....no stupid garden lights.....no moon

Finally I can try the 2nd hand telescope I purchased from a friend at work.

Okay okay okay.....it is not as easy as I thought (I will need to update the firmware for the goto unit)....but I finally got it "aligned" - and it didn't "fail".

Jupiter looked lovely.

My proper camera developed a fault and has gone away for warranty repair...so this was taken on my mobile phone. This is the best I can currently achieve.

But - though the image is blurry - you can clearly see Jupiter and 4 moons.

Now I can't wait for more clear nights and more equipment.
