Druridge Bay
In need of some fresh air and attracted by morning sunshine pouring through the windows, J & I headed off up the coast for a walk. We headed for the Cresswell end of sweeping Druridge Bay just north east of Morpeth and only 30mins from Newcastle.
Threatening clouds gathered as we arrived but, wrapped up, we headed out in near horizontal, cheek-stinging, hail. Thankfully the hail only lasted for 10mins or so and blue sky returned. Beach to ourselves, angling our bodies into the wind, we wandered up the coast a few miles before about-turning and retracing our steps.
Goodbye cobwebs!
