Chasing the Chipmunk

The vintage RAF trainer was in the circuit at Old Warden today, a very exciting time for two small people who thought it necessary to try to outrun the machine on takeoff.  It was much more exciting than accompanying their grandmother to the supermarket nearby.

They failed, but the aircraft seemed all the more impressive for that.  The Extra shot is of a 1913 Morris Oxford from the Collection with one of my small people posing beside it.  The volunteers kindly moved away when "Grandad took out his phone."  I didn't protest that I rarely use a mobile phone for decent photos . . .
