Calf Heath Pool Dawn

Another day volunteering at Weston Park.  I was going to be too late for sunrise at the park so I pulled over on the A5 and climbed the embankment to a local reservoir to capture this scene.

I also got chatting to the owner of the cottage attached to the reservoir who was sitting enjoying the sunrise, complete with mug of tea beside him.  His father had worked for the Waterways Board for 42 years, living in the cottage most of that time and he took the opportunity to buy it when a local presence was no longer required full time. Have to say it was a delightful location to have a property, with his own private gate to the bank of the reservoir.
