Long day of driving

When we parked up at Stanmore hall site last night there was a slight crunching sound - in the dusk we hadn’t noticed the bank right behind the pitch - bit couldn’t see any damage this morning so off we set. Just on the dual carriageway and it felt very draughty so I looked behind me and the window was flapping wide open - Mr PHL had forgotten to re-latch it after opening it earlier. Got it closed - phew so no damage done.
We headed to the dealer we bought the van from as we needed them to check the gas supply which had seemed loose when we used it on Tuesday.
They are all so friendly in Burnopfield and a quick inspection showed no leakage but did we know that the back panel was cracked? Oops so that was the crunching sound explained.....
It can be fixed with tape but we will get it replaced early next year - only a couple of hundred squids!
Back on the road and we made it home for just after 6. By the time we’d emptied the van we decided a trip to our local Indian restaurant was in order - delicious as always and am now tucked up in bed.

Blip is of one of the peacocks on the site. He was very tame and cane very close - just love his colours.
