Inspiration

I went to see the Tim Walker Exhibition at the V&A

This photo is of a model called James Spencer, dressed in regal clothes that he and his friends have kept almost like a dressing up box at home. Such fun!

I am new to Tim Walker but loved his creativity, his vision and then how he executes that vision to produce these stunning, fully detailed pictures.  His show was lovely, lots of portraits of famous people in unusual but candid shots, full fashion shoots for magazines and recreated interpretation of things at the V&A (had to be seen) 

He has a great quote that says : " The camera is a state of mind. If your feeling chaotic, the picture will be chaos. If you feel sinister the picture will be sinister. Romance, Mystery, Mischief ….the photography is a manifestation of your psyche"

I love this quote and have often thought about moods I've been in and how it effects my pictures - if I'm grumpy sometimes I don't see anything bright in front of me, I have no motivation to take a picture. 

So question - what is your inspiration / motivation for taking a picture :-)
