Bit of rain and a lot of wind meant our plans for a beach day had to change. In true British style we did try to sit it out partly cos we'd carted quite a bit of stuff to the beach to keep the kids entertained. But the sand was being blown everywhere so it didn't feel very pleasant even though it was warm.

So we took a drive out to explore a couple of little villages when twisty little streets. Did coffee and cheese tasting at a rustic little farm shop in one village, then more coffee and cakes in the next. T&E burnt off some energy in the town Square.

Headed out to eat on the beach front. Amazing meal. I had these huge King prawns and a massive salad. Staff were super friendly and great with the kids. Much prefer our end of the beach to the lighthouse end.
