Flower Friday: Life's a riot

Life's a riot with Dame Edna's favourite flowers - "gladdies".

This sensational screen full of blooms comes courtesy of the flowers brought over by my sister Janet last weekend.  They are coming to the end of their display sadly, but they have been brilliant, as you can see.

In the meantime, I should record for posterity that here in the UK we continue to live in interesting times.  The greased piglet (as David Cameron apparently calls Boris) has managed to reach agreement with the EU on a revised withdrawal  agreement which is due to be voted on by Parliament in its "Super Saturday" sitting tomorrow.  

Fortunately some MPs seem to be waking up to the fact that potentially the deal would allow the hard brexiteers to push through a no deal departure later in 2020 if they want to.  If we've got to leave the EU (and I would prefer not to) then we definitely need an orderly departure and a sensible long term arrangement with out major trading partners.  A no deal by the back door needs to be avoided at all costs.

I really like that "greased piglet" epithet - nothing seems to stick on Boris, but I hope that one does :-)
