freeze dried leaves

Since our early snow storm last week we have had hard freezes  most nights. (Fortunately, the snow melted quickly, and we have had lovely fall afternoons). But the trees that did not have time to change their colors got frozen in the process. This is an American Basswood tree, also known as a Linden.
