Surprise in the Undergrowth

Blue on blue petals
Buried among the borage
Dutch elegance

I have been walking down the path and wondering where my dutch iris were.  Oh well  maybe I lost them to the drought.  Make a note to buy more bulbs next year. This afternoon I spotted them fully open and standing upright amongst the borage that had fallen over in yesterdays rain.  A lovely surprise.  Thanks for the love for the clematis yesterday.
