Pig's ear, silk purse
SATURDAY
After a long tiring week and still feeling the effects of a cold, I gave the Parkrun a miss today.
I then spent far too long in front of the television watching the first Saturday sitting of Parliament for 37 years. Amazingly Sir Oliver Letwin's amendment managed to get the votes causing yet another setback to Boris's hash of a Brexit deal.
Johnson has said that he won't write a letter to the EU requesting a further delay in contravention of the Benn Act. I wonder how he will get out of that?
After driving to Ripponden to collect a mass of ironing, we managed a 5 km brisk walk up to the moor and back this afternoon. We passed this tiny porker and half a dozen of its siblings en route.
