River Calder

This is the River Calder at Mytholmroyd where the Flood Defence work has been disrupting life (and traffic) for the last two years.  The river was flowing quite strongly but you can see how the width has been increased and the walls heightened. 
Work is scheduled to end mid summer next year - lets hope it is successful.
