Old and new

Growing up in the area we had this one lane bridge that had traffic lights. Aucklanders complained incessantly that it lengthened their trip to the Coromandel. As a local we didn't mind! In the last few years a new two lane bridge has opened and there are no complaints from Aucklanders. It is now sitting in a state of dilapidation. Locals want it opened as a walking bridge.
