Forth Rail Bridge

This morning we had a lovely walk along the waterfront from South Queensferry - it is such a pretty place! For some reason I thought it would be quite industrial but it had a quaint cobbled main street and beautiful buildings lining it. There were lots of nice shops and quite a few eateries, which were all busy on this Sunday morning.

We walked with the Gussies and the little Gusling, who managed the walk very well and only fell down once. Her rain suit was so padded she was a bit like the Michelin man and just about bounced!

Many of the hostelries have super views of the bridges across the Forth. The more modern road one is wonderfully airy and elegant, but somehow I like the metallic chunkiness of the rail bridge best.
