Amsterdam 8 kilometres run

The ferry arrived at half past nine local time. It took half an hour to moor. We had to wait until the coach to Amsterdam was completely full before it left the terminal. So, it left at half past ten. In the meantime the boy already had started his first race ever and should have been halfway the finish line.
I am very sorry that I did not stand there to applaud him. But we were in time to celebrate his run and be proud with him.
