Lightning Rod

Hello from Dollywood. This was my first visit since 2007. It's built five coasters since then, and we were able to ride them all! Jill went around this time last year but missed Lightning Rod (pictured) because it had downtime.

This year, her luck was much better. We got four rides right at park opening. I ended up with seven today. Simply put: It's one of the best roller coasters I've been on. This trip got me up to 299 different coasters, and Lightning Rod is in the top five. The finale, a series of four drops down the side of a hill, is the single best coaster moment I have ever experienced.
