Rugby World Cup
Last weekend I paid tribute to the victorious Japan Rugby Team at the Rugby World Cup.
Today they met their match against the mighty Springboks from South Africa.
They were overwhelmed and are now out of the competition while SA goes on to face Wales in the semi-final next weekend.
My photo homage shows a small, toy rugby ball, acquired some 40 years ago in South Africa atop a traditional, square, sake cup, the masu, a gift from the last time I was in Japan.
The final score was
Japan 3 – 26 South Africa
