Productive

At last I have found a local shop that sells fresh milk in glass bottles.  The one on the left is from a refill system.  You pay for the bottle and then refill it at the milk station in the shop.  The milk itself is from a farm about 5 miles away (next to the sea) who have a herd of Ayrshire cows.

It has been a busy few days.  Yesterday (Saturday), Andy had an early morning game of golf, so I walked Merlin, cleaned the house and got my hair cut.  By the time I'd also popped to the shops and eaten lunch, it was 1500.  So another dog walk was taken, then I popped to the allotment to collect spinach to go in our curry for dinner.

Today, Sunday, has been equally busy.  After the morning dog walk, we went to the house at Liss to continue with some decorating work on the living room.  Today's job was to do some sanding and filling.  I also gave the boiler a run through its paces after last week's low pressure in the system.  We returned home to see Merlin and have lunch.  I spent the afternoon at the allotment putting down some heavy weight matting to stop the grass growing on the new plot I have acquired (I will clear it over the winter).  I also cleared more the bramble - with the help of a long handled pruner leant to me by another allotment plot holder - an amazing tool that made cutting through the 1.5 inch stems a doddle.  Finally I planted some more garlic.  Then it was home for another dog walk before dinner.  Feels a productive weekend but there is rather a lot to do at the moment.  Andy spent the whole afternoon doing paperwork.

Hoping your day has been a good one.  Very best wishes.
