Xie xie ni (Thank you)
Old City Hall, Toronto, Ontario
Ni Hao I just arrived in Toronto and I have already begun to shoot. My Brother and I are on a little walk. He sometimes is overprotective and had to come out with me (really not sometimes all the time, I think that he forgets that I am older, but all I can say is I guess he loves me and hmm he's buying the coffee tonight so I will shut up).
I am staying the weekend with my Little Brother Brian and his family. Grace has a performance Friday night and she wanted GuGu (Aunt in Mandarin Chinese) to come. The funny thing is that I have been trying to learn Mandarin Chinese so that I can talk to her. Grace does know English but sometimes I feel left out of conversations. My brother is a Vice President of Seybold International and deals with the China everyday so he is bilingually. So I would like to know and be able to converse with them. My brother goes to china once ever six months and once a year with his family, so I would like to go with him or with him and the family and be able to have conversation with Grace's Chinese family. Right now I have about five phrases I can say. So I do have a bit of away to go.
Well, I totally went off topic there!!! Today is my 100th entry; Wow is all I can say. I just wanted to thank you all for your kind words of encouragement. I have found that I my eyes have been open and that I look at the world around me in a different way. I have to thank a fellow Blipper for introducing me to this and to say that the work that they do still impresses me every day. They also keep a city that is dear to my heart in my heart every day. No mater how dark and grim they or people might think it is.
My wish for all is open your eyes and find beauty where you normally don't expect it.
