A HOLE IN ONE

Well we're on Day One of getting the fire replaced.  Luckily for me I had an  adapted Tai Chi session this morning, which was lovely, calming and PEACEFUL.  Great to catch up with great friends too.

Then I got home in time for lunch.  The workmen left for their lunch break just a few minutes after I'd got back home.   Then on their return the NOISE resumed.  Still, they are making slow progress.

The lounge, although covered with dust sheets, and all small  moveable  objects have been taken out is somewhat dusty.  The noise has now stopped for a while, so will check on their progres a bit later.

It  is very disruptive of course, hopefully just for the week.  The old fire, as you can see, is no more.  The hole you see there has now been made somewhat larger to fit the new one.  They will probably have to rip up some of the carpet,  but we had intended on replacing that next year anyway, so as long as it's not bad we can live with it.
