Egret

Following numerous recent sightings of the resident heron and two egrets at the park (including both a heron and an egret on Polly's walk yesterday), I finally saw one when I had a camera with me! Mind you, I almost didn't see it and was resorting to taking a picture of a mallard on the pond when I happened to glance behind me and saw the familiar white shape of an egret wandering along the bank of the stream. A dog walker came along and we had a discussion about whether it was a little or great egret and we were undecided. It's quite big and possibly bigger than the one from yesterday (although I've never seen them together, so they could be one and the same). I need the heron for scale!
