Faded Beauty......

It was a bit of a late night last night so we weren't up for too much racing about today. But, as it was meant to be a sunny Autumn morning we did make the effort to get out for a quick walk.

My usual place as it's not far away and plenty of photo opportunities. So I was concentrating on fungi hunting and not really expecting much insect life. So we were quite surprised to spot this dragonfly sunning himself. 

I'm not sure how long he will survive as it was looking a little faded and battered, but a lovely find. There was also a shield bug and a dock bug sharing the sunshine with him on nearby leaves.
