Lines...

...straight, curved and sharp angled ones. I really had to think with this one, not because it's a difficult theme but because the weather is awful today--rainy & really windy--so not ideal for taking pictures outside. I ran out during a brief break in the rain and picked up some leaves, then put them in the light box to photograph them.
I'm so excited because work on our enclosed sun porch started today. I've been trying for two years to find someone to work on it. (& that two years is no exaggeration) I can't tell you how many people I texted, called and emailed without any answer from their companies, just trying to find someone. It needs a new ceiling as this one was water damaged before we had the new roof put on, as well as new wood beneath the windows, new trim around the windows & some of the outside boards need replacing. It's at least 34 years old, as it was there when we bought the house, so it's past time to need repairs. My brother-in-law says I couldn't get anyone because there aren't any workers. Not many young people are going into the trades anymore, plus the bigger companies have downsized and no longer have multiple crews that they send out on jobs. BUT, my niece Samantha talked to their master carpenter at work (she works for a construction company) about our porch, and he came and looked at it and said he'd do it for us. FINALLY! And even better that Samantha can vouch for his excellent work and his reliability, & he gave me a great deal on the price because I was Samantha's aunt. It was meant to be, I guess.    Many thanks to Chantler63 for hosting monomondays this month. :))
