The Purple Martin's Last Flight

We drove up to Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge this morning and things were pretty quiet.  Then I spotted this falcon (?) up in a tree and noticed he was working on something.  It wasn't until I got home that I realized it had another bird (most likely a purple Martin).  

The weather was much nicer today - lot's of sun and a high of 70 degrees which is not bad for late October!
