Peebles

Another visit to Peebles and then a nightmare drive home. I always leave it till the last moment to decide whether to go from Penicuik on to the Biggar Road or whether to drive right up and through Straiton. 
Today Mauricewood was my choice on to the Biggar Road. 
Bad choice. 
I was stop, start for miles in a very long queue of traffic right up to Swanston. There are very severe hills on this route which are usually fine if I can just keep going but with all this stop, starting it called on me to use all my strength to keep an equilibrium.
I did finally get home to a reviving cup of tea, aaahh, that great British saviour.
