Operation Yellowhammer

A birder, who I have met and chatted to many times, told me the other day that yellowhammers have been seen at Holyfield Farm near the pair of benches. We went this afternoon to investigate, didn't find yellowhammers but were rewarded with a jaunty pair of stonechats. The geese were very unsettled and flying back and forth from the Goosefield to the fields to the east of the farm. My stonechat is looking up at them as if to say, "I wish they would make up their minds." Shame the light was so poor.
