Whitley Bay

Off to Newcastle to see how Katie is settling in. The plan was simple: take the dogs, drive to Whitley Bay, admire the Spanish City, Stroll over to St. Mary's Island, eat chips on the beach - unfortunately the weather wasn't playing ball. We ended up eating our fish and chips in the steamy car, wet through from our ill-advised foray onto the beach in the gale-force wind and heavy rain. I snuck out to take a few photos and we drove back to Town. The rain eased later so we had a slightly less dank stroll through Jesmond Dene. That said, a very nice day out, despite the vagaries...
