Autumn Gifts

Rosy red apples...they are delicious. Jerusalem artichokes....they will be a tasty soup tomorrow.

Both from Elaine' s allotment. Isn't autumn wonderful? She also brought me a root of artichoke hopefully I'll grow my own next year. Did you know they are not actually artichokes but are part of the sunflower family (according to Wiki).

Crazy afternoon at the museum. Lots of craft activities for children on half term. So children, paint, clay everywhere......parents watching and waiting. So patchy explaining from me to the few adults without children. But enjoyable as usual.
