Yesterday’s flags...
I don’t think I have ever seen the full display before (I have blipped the white ensign flying from the tower) but apparently it happens every year - the Nelson Monument in Edinburgh decked with flags for Trafalgar Day , which was yesterday.
The message could only be one thing, but whilst I worked that out as soon as I saw it walking to St Andrews House this morning, I didn’t realise that a third of the men who fought under Nelson were Scots , nor that so much of the war materiel came from here.
