Painting The Town Red

Last night after months of darkness the Cathedral lights were finally  turned back on. They have been off for a new energy efficient light system to be installed which also allows for different colours to be projected on to the towers. On my way home from visiting Mum I decided to park up and take a few shots of it. The only problem was that my plate for connecting to my tripod was on my old camera .
I took a few hand held shots but most got deleted apart from this one which was the best of a poor bunch. I will have to try again another night. This shot was taken from the footbridge that goes over the road
