and through the wire...

I couldn't resist the opportunity to title this blip after my journal name... and take the blip before the using the title meant anything!

15 years ago Mrs C and I began watching the TV series "The Wire" and were hooked. The first series followed the Baltimore Police Department attempting to gather evidence of a drug gang via wire taps etc and we watched it all, then began series 2.. but life took over it seems and we stopped, despite having recorded the subsequent shows.

Then we got the opportunity to record them again some months ago and in August we finally begun from series 1 again. 5 series later and 60 episodes, we completed the run... after the bip was taken. What would I have blipped had something else came up.

It might be the best complete series we've ever watched! Often other series begin great but lose it after a couple of years, but The Wire branched out to education, homelessness, journalism, politics and corruption and it took us all the way, despite having to put subtitles on every so often. We got attached to "good" gangstas and "mourned" when they fell... and oh how we laughed, it was so funny too!

Ah... we'll miss it... tough but recommended viewing... ya feel me? Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee......
