Oh, why can't paint mixers learn to mix paint! Including the colours shown on their cards!

This facade detail is actually the facade of our own house bearing samples of the paint we are trying to match to the original! The leading candidate is the middle left-ish one which is the same as the middle right but with a certain number of black dye drops added - we call it C165++, but no-one else does, certainly not the shop that does the mixing (still with me?). Their original C165 was held out as a perfect match for what we wanted to replace....goodness knows how Alistair is going to have them scale up his private mix sufficiently to cover the whole front with two coats, but that he must!
