Peewit, peewit!

I don't know whether I was too early or too late but I only spotted two lapwings up at the Heritage Park Loch.  At this time of year there are usually a dozen or so. I scanned the local field where they sometimes gather but not a one.

Apart from a couple of circuits of the loch today has been a day of household activities ..... washing the kitchen floor, making soup, stewing apples, pulling out the withered begonias and geraniums and finally topping up the bird feeders.
