Askham Fell

A gentle lovely wander out with Missy today - and the peculiar joy of watching someone else's dog run amok (no harm caused, just naughty) and thinking "thank goodness it's not mine...."

I'm here relatively often on navigation courses - its not a large area, but it is a fascinating one, with wonderful names and a rich history - Moor Divock, Threepow Raise, the Hag Stones, the Wofa Holes & more

The shaded staggered hills along and the sweep of the water all make this a deservedly popular view. The ankle liked it too & Missy ran and ran and ran.
