Harlow Carr colour.
Pilates was cancelled this afternoon so I texted my friend to see if she wanted to go to RHS Harlow Carr near Harrogate, as the weather was good.
Got there just before 12.00 and the queue for Betty’s Coffee shop wasn’t too bad considering the car park was nearly full, lots more for people waiting for the cafe, so we were soon enjoying tea and sandwiches for lunch. A good chat and then we headed out into the sunshine.
Lots of lovely colour as we walked around, some flowers still in bloom but of course the tree colour was the many shades of orange, yellow, pink and red.
An autumnal display in the green house was very appropriate for Halloween and some lovely crafts to peruse in the Bath house. Quite a few new sculptures around too,
There was a lot of work going on too with several areas and paths closed off as new paths are being developed for 2020 so that bigger borders can be made at the top of the park.
A look around the shop and then back to Betty’s for tea and tea loaf! Yum.
Going to try and fit another visit in before Christmas as they usually have decorations dotted around in the trees.
Meanwhile Chris did the last lawn cut of the year.
A lovely day out in good weather!
