The Green Man

The bronze Civil War soldier has weathered to a fine green patina.
He reminds me that our country once came close to tearing itself apart.  We have paid for our union with the blood of our sons and brothers.  The sacrifices they made for a future they could only hope would come to be can only be imagined by those of us who are alive today.  
They deserve our respect and admiration.
