RIVER TYNE

Made a slow start to the day as I had nothing on the calendar. 

As the Wide Wednesday theme today was WATER I decided to head for the River Tyne.  Instead of taking the usual shots of the Tyne Bridge or the Millennium Bridge I decided to stand on the High Level Bridge and look up river towards the Queen Elizabeth 2nd Metro Bridge ( opened in 1981 ) Thanks to BobsBlips for hosting.

With my blip shot in the bag I walked up to Gateshead town centre to go food shopping in Tesco.  Then to Iceland for ice cream lollies.

The weather today was lovely and bright but rather chilly.
