Early Christmas Cactus

A lovely sunny day

We are getting ready to leave for Essex. We will be visiting friends, especially a very dear friend. Eight years ago, when she was 92, I married her and her husband and now she will be celebrating her 100th birthday this weekend. It will be a joy to see them, though they don’t know we are coming.

I took this beautiful cactus flower just before leaving. It blooms at least three times a year and I never tire of their beauty.
