I'm sure the weather was meant to be dry today. In any case my colleague and me braved the drizzle/mist at lunchtime, to hold-out inside the nearest bookstore. He's introducing his daughter to Iain M. Banks novels, and have been asking me for recommendations. Which I have done so, whilst being careful in not giving any plots away, or setting expectations too highly. So I was flabbergasted when one of the book-stackers overheard our conversation, decided to join in, and revealed one of the surprise endings... to one of the novels I had not yet read. Harrumph!

This was a busker taken on the way back to the office. It was stupidly dark so any fill-in flash ruined the shots. Still, I think it makes for a nice moody portrait.
