On The Tiles

Hawk Owl Class (year 3&4) invited us over to take part in some Roman themed workshops and activities. We made mosaics, designed shields, learned about Roman numerals and looked at roman artefacts. The older children were really kind and patient with our little ones which was lovely to see.
One of our lovely little girls left today which was sad. We made her a card and gave her a little present. We only have 4 girls in the class anyway so she’ll be sorely missed by the others. I was dreading home time but sort of held it together ok until her mum said ‘Say goodbye to Mrs Donnan’ and I couldn’t actually say any words so I gave her and her mum a cuddle and made a quick exit.
One training day then it’s half term. Hurrah!
